What is Welcome to the Game III?
Welcome to the Game III is a single-player strategic horror simulation from Reflect Studios, released on Steam on July 16, 2026. You play as Simon, forced into "The Game" to clear a dangerous debt by finding puzzle pieces on the dark net.
In Welcome to the Game III, you browse up to 52 websites, scan pages and source code for hidden keys, hack and defend PCs, buy and sell goods with NPCs, and manage time while threats close in. There is no safe-zone — awareness decides when to stay put, hide, or RUN.
Counter successful hacks to earn DOS Coin, or install firewall upgrades that block intrusions but cut those earnings. Hacking minigames test reaction speed, typing, and puzzle solving. Four interactive NPCs race you for the same goal and can be slowed, traded with, or targeted — and they can do the same to you.
This Welcome to the Game III Wiki hub covers Welcome to the Game III survival, darknet browsing, upgrades, and difficulty modes. Always verify live details in your Steam build after patches.

DOS Coin & upgrades
In Welcome to the Game III, DOS Coin funds security and key-discovery upgrades — every purchase is a survival trade-off.
Successfully countering hacks earns DOS Coin. Firewall upgrades can block intrusions instead, but you miss those earnings. Official materials also highlight VirtMesh virtual machines you can mine with or mount for A.N.N tools.
Welcome to the Game III lets you buy upgrades that raise security and speed up key discovery. An in-game slot machine can gamble fake currency — high risk, optional.
Use the upgrade guide and optimizer tool when DOS Coin is tight. Prioritize staying alive before racing for every key.
- S-tier focus: Firewall upgrades — Block intrusions automatically, but you miss counter-hack DOS Coin earnings.
- A-tier focus: Key discovery speed — Upgrades that speed up finding hidden keys across darknet pages and source code.
- A-tier focus: Threat counter upgrades — Full game includes upgrades aimed at countering physical threats, not only network defense.
- B-tier focus: VirtMesh mining — Convert hacked VMs into DOS Coin miners. Higher-tier hardware mines faster.
